Welcome to the Edit Bay:
Mixing pixels, playlists, and production mayhem.
Your all-access pass to the chaos and craft behind the story.
Production is equal parts art and problem-solving. I paid my dues in places where deadlines didn’t care about sleep, budgets never covered half of what actually needed to get done and a coffee order with almond milk instead of oat could be reason for termination. From TV and film sets, to shark wrangling on a ship and history-making start-up madness, I’ve been the one juggling raw footage, call sheet corrections, shark shenanigans, 12 revisions of the same production report, and sending crews of 30+ people from Antarctica to Southeast Asia.
For me, production isn’t clean or linear, it’s survivalist creativity. It’s building something cinematic out of nothing but a story that begs to be written at 2am, 6 failed .mov exports that took 12 hours of your life you’ll never get back, and sheer persistence all to feel the joy of watching a handful of meaningful moments caught on film strung together in a way that can’t help but tug at your heartstrings. You’ll never see the sleepless hours cutting footage down to the bone, or the invisible work of weaving pivotal moments of a character’s life into a backstory that feels lived-in. But it’s there, always, because you do whatever it takes to bring your creative vision to life, even if it means your only nap in 24 hours is on a bumpy flight where a bag of pretzels is your dinner.
This page is my control room, my Edit Bay, so to speak: the snapshots of having lived in the trenches of making things happen against all odds, a glimpse into the tools, the processes, and the passion and persistence it takes to push wild ideas into reality.
